Game Description

6-Card Golf is a casual card game where players try to end each round with the lowest total score. Each player has a grid of six cards and takes turns drawing and swapping cards to reduce their points. Matching cards in columns cancel out points, and the game ends after a set number of rounds. It’s easy to learn, light on rules, and great for 2–6 players.

How to Play

Setup

Each player is dealt 6 cards, face down, arranged in 2 rows of 3 (a 3x2 grid). Players each flip 2 cards face up in their grid. The rest of the deck is placed face down in the center as a draw pile, with one card flipped face up to start a discard pile.

Gameplay

On your turn, draw a card from the draw pile or take the top card from the discard pile.

Either: Replace one of your 6 cards with the new card (discarding the old one), OR Simply discard the drawn card if you don’t want it. If you replace a face-down card, the new card is placed face-up.

Cancel Rule

When placing cards, try to place same value cards in columns as they cancel out and equal zero. For instance if you place a 9 in the same column as another 9, they equal zero.

Ending the Round

At any time, if you think you have the lowest score, you may knock instead of drawing. After you knock, each other player gets one more turn, then all cards are revealed and scored. If the player who knocked does not have the lowest score, they take a 10-point penalty!
